Minor Damage Reported After Wednesday Severe Storms

Minor damage was reported after a line of severe storms pushed through the region Wednesday afternoon.

Christian County Emergency Manager Randy Graham tells the News Edge a tree that was knocked down due to high winds caused a power outage on Jessup Avenue. He also reported a power outage in Lafayette due to the storm.

Trigg County Emergency Manager David Bryant reported a few trees were down across the county, including in a tree in Canton that was reported by law enforcement officials.

Caldwell County Emergency Management Coordinator Joey McCaslin told our sister station WPKY water levels were high along Garrett, McNary, and South Jefferson Streets as heavy rain pushed through downtown Princeton. Also, a tree brought down a power line on Cherry Street.

The National Weather Service in Paducah received a report of a 64 MPH wind gust at Kyle Oakley Field in Calloway County shortly after 4:20, with law enforcement adding several trees were blown down around 10 northeast of Murray shortly thereafter.
