A Calloway County toddler died Thursday after being located in a pond Wednesday afternoon.
The Calloway County Sheriff’s Department reports they received a 911 call from a female stating her one-year-old child had been located in a pond near the residence and was not breathing. The woman began CPR, with the child taken to Murray Calloway County Hospital and later transferred to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.
The Calloway County Sheriff’s Department says they were told Thursday by Vanderbilt Medical Center the child passed away.
The sheriff’s department is continuing to investigate the death.
