A Hopkinsville Community College student is excited about the chance to work toward a career in journalism with the help of the DJ Everett Scholarship.
Hannah Crisp, a Trigg County native, was selected from the applications turned in. Crisp currently attends Hopkinsville Community College and wants to have a career in journalism.

Crisp graduated from homeschooling in May of 2018. During her senior year of high school, she participated in dual credit courses at Hopkinsville Community College.The DJ Everett III Scholarship offers up to eight semesters of a renewable scholarship in partnership with the Cadiz Rotary Club. The scholarship and internship opportunity are open to high school seniors or college students that will be studying journalism, broadcasting or a related field.
