Hopkinsville Rotary Auction Celebrating School Reports

The Hopkinsville Rotary Club is celebrating great reports from elementary schools that presented their fundraising totals Wednesday night.

Auction Chairman Trent Haddock told the News Edge the Hour and Goat Club received a nice boost Wednesday night thanks to elementary schools in Christian County.

More than $20,900 dollars was raised by the Hour and Goat Club Wednesday night, pushing the weekly total to $90,763.  Rotarians sold 94 items Wednesday to bring in $7,349.  The General Store brought in $571, with the Diner and Sweet Shop raising $3,951.  For the week the auction has raised $127,414, which is about $1,400 behind 2018.

Haddock encourages people to come out to the Memorial Building tonight for the auction.

He adds the crew that has been cooking at the auction this week is doing a great job.

The auction activities continue Thursday at the Memorial Building with dinner beginning at 5:00m. Haddock says smoked chickens will be available Thursday night.  The auction begins at 7:00 and can be viewed at hopkinsvillerotary.org.
