Trigg County Student Accepted Into Governor’s School For Entrepreneurs

A Trigg County High School student was among seventy-two students selected for the Governor’s School for Entrepreneurs this summer.

Governor Matt Bevin’s office announced Friday that junior Cade Bleidt was accepted into the program. It will take place at Northern Kentucky University from June 23 to July 13.

GSE brings high school students together from across the state, immersing them in a creative space during a residential program and arming them with the educational tools needed to unleash entrepreneurial spirits. More than three-hundred students applied through the competitive application process. Through the program, students will learn firsthand about the opportunities, benefits, and pitfalls of beginning a business. Teams of students will develop business models, design prototypes, and pitch startup ideas to a large audience and panel of judges.

Bleidt’s acceptance into the summer program comes after winning the Lt. Governor’s Entrepreneurship Challenge with Trigg County senior Grace Knight.
