State Seeking Comments On Hopkinsville Road Project

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is inviting the public to attend an information meeting next week to discuss some proposed road improvements on the west side of Hopkinsville on West 7th Street to reduce traffic congestion.

Spokesman Keith Todd says the meeting Tuesday afternoon is regarding the proposed widening along U.S. 68-West 7th Street.

He notes they will have some displays for people to look at and they want to hear comments and input from the public that will help their engineers and design team to develop the project as it goes forward to future construction.

Officials indicate more than 9,200 vehicles travel the U.S. 68 Business/West 7th Street from KY 91/Princeton Road eastward and the intersection of KY 109/Dawson Springs Road to North Drive.

The public information meeting will be held Tuesday afternoon, April 23, at 5:00 at the Christian County Middle School cafeteria.
