Another Christian County Public School teacher is celebrating after becoming a board certified teacher.
The school district reports Jane King is an English and language arts teacher to kindergarten students at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School.
King recently became a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT). She was recognized as a gold standard in teacher certification, with less than 3% of teachers achieving the certification. The NBCT believes in high standards for teachers and that means better learning for students.
This comes after Amanda Cornell, a language arts teacher at Indian Hills Elementary, also received a gold standard in teacher certification.
