It was just over a year ago that the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County closed to begin a massive renovation project.
Museum Director Alissa Keller says the work is continuing and is on track.

Keller says it will be a little longer than originally expected before the renovation is complete and the Museum reopens.

She says that one of the new exhibits will focus on notable residents of Hopkinsville and Christian County.

Even though the main Museum building is closed, the Woody Winfree Fire Museum, under the town clock, is still open five days a week. Keller says they have a special program there every month for children.

The Woody Winfree Fire Museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 until 4:00 and on Saturday from 10:00 until 2:00. You can follow the renovation project with pictures updated frequently on their Facebook and Instagram pages.
