Plans are coming together for the Christian County American Heart Walk. The walk is scheduled for Saturday, April 20 at the Western Kentucky State Fair Grounds on Richard Street in Hopkinsville.
Heart Walk Division Director, Susanne Riley says to participate in the heart walk you can register online or just show up the day of the event.

The Heart Walk is the primary fundraiser for the American Heart Association. Since the beginning, Riley says they have raised billions of dollars for research.

And Riley says the research has resulted in improvements in heart disease and it’s treatment.

All the funds raised will stay in Kentucky. Riley says it is important to raise as much as possible because additional grant money depends on the funds raised.

The goal for the Christian County Heart Walk is $50,000.
