Hopkinsville Home Severely Damaged In Fire-Video

Firefighters from three stations were called to a house fire on East 7th Street early Friday morning.

Hopkinsville Fire Department Battalion Chief Phillip Ferguson told the News Edge at the scene the home was currently vacant and has severe damage.

The fire was reported around 2 am and the intersection of East 7th Street and South Campbell Street.

Hopkinsville Historian William Turner said the home was built in 1892 for Frank W. Dabney who was the first mayor of Hopkinsville. Dabney’s family lived in the home until 1925.
