No one was injured in a cooking fire Thursday afternoon on Peppermint Drive.
Hopkinsville Fire Department Battalion Chief Phillip Ferguson told the News Edge at the scene smoke was coming from the eaves of the home when they arrived.
The fire was contained to the kitchen but the rest of the home was damaged by smoke. The American Red Cross has been contacted to assist the family.
