Schools Put On Temporary Lockdown After Report Of Shots Fired In The Area

Hopkinsville Police were called to the area of Pennyrile Village for a report of shots fired Friday morning.

According to radio traffic, no evidence of any shots being fired was found and the caller was not located.

Christian County Public Schools Director of Public Relations and Communications John Rittenhouse tells the News Edge four schools were placed on lockdown as a precautionary measure.

He noted the lockdown was only for a short period of time.
