Committee Formed To Design Mural For Downtown Cadiz

Preparations are underway to celebrate Trigg County’s bicentennial next year.

The county was formed in 1820 and was named after Stephen Trigg, an officer who was killed in the Battle of Blues Licks during the American Revolutionary War.

Paul Fourshee and other community members were recently appointed to a mural committee by Judge/Executive Hollis Alexander to come up with ideas of what to paint on a wall located next to the Trigg County Justice Center.

Fourshee adds the committee will soon host a meeting to take suggestions from the community.

Suggestions can also be emailed to him at cadizmural@gmail.com.

The theme of the mural will be what does Trigg County mean to you.

Fourshee says they will be looking for an artist who will paint the mural.

A committee has also been formed to discuss ways the community can celebrate the 200th anniversary of Trigg County.
