Dyslexia Association Needing Donations To Continue Services

The Dyslexia Association of the Pennyrile has numerous programs they provide to the community at reduced costs.

Executive Director Vicky Jones says they offer a one-on-one, multisensory approach in learning that is different from typical classroom instruction.

According to Jones, they offer a screening service to help indicate if someone is dyslexic.

Jones adds they also offer a tutorial, community education, and advocacy programs. The advocacy program has been very helpful to families who don’t understand what their child’s school is saying to them.

The Dyslexia Association is in need of donations to continue to provide these programs for families in the Pennyrile region. With their tutoring program alone, they do not charge enough to be able to sustain the program.
