An inmate walked away from work release in the Whispering Meadows area of Union County Thursday.
According to a Kentucky State Police report, 40-year-old Jason Stangel of Uniontown was on work release from the Union County Detention Center in Morganfield when he walked way around 9 am Thursday.
He was in jail on non-violent charges. He is described as a male, 6 foot 1 inch tall, weighing 220 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing an orange hoodie sweatshirt and tan pants.
