Hopkinsville Man Charged In Hopkins County Burglary

A Hopkinsville man was arrested on a warrant for multiple charges after a burglary on February 3rd in Hopkins County.

According to a Hopkinsville police report, 30-year-old Rowbaire Whitted reportedly went to the home of Bobbie Jo Hill on Grapevine Road in Hopkins County who is his ex-girlfriend and started kicking the door when she opened the door he over powered her and forced his way into the home.

Whitted then reportedly took her phone preventing her from being able to call for help, then grabbed her by the throat and begin attempting to strangle her, he picked her up by the throat and slammed her onto a bed and pinned her against the wall by her throat.

Hill attempted to leave with her son and Whitted blocked her vehicle in and took her keys. Hill fled to a neighbors home and called for police. Whitted fled and took Hill’s phone, keys and a gun.

Whitted is charged with first-degree burglary, fourth-degree assault, first-degree unlawful imprisonment and intimidating a participant in a legal process.
