A Hopkinsville woman was charged with second-degree assault Friday night at Oak Tree Villa Apartments.
According to a Hopkinsville police report, 51-year-old Gloria Copeland cut her boyfriend 60-year-old John Merriweather Jr., with a knife causing cuts to his leg, neck and arm.
