A wreck on Interstate 24 Tuesday night was caused when ladders fell off of a truck.
According to a Christian County Sheriff’s Office report, 42-year-old William Allen was westbound on Interstate 24 at the 91 mile marker when ladders fell off his truck causing 6 vehicles driven by 24-year-old Rachel Gilkey, 26-year-old Christopher Migneron both of Hopkinsville along with 42-year-old James Gordon of El Paso Texas, 21-year-old Victoria Hall of Wooster Ohio, 29-year-old Keegan Steele of Mechanicsburg Pennsylvania and 58-year-old Donald Hundley of Madisonville, to hit the ladders before Williams could get them picked up.
50-year-old Sandra Meeks of Calvert City attempted to stop after seeing Hundley hit a ladder but could not stop in time and hit his vehicle.
Meeks was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center by ambulance but the extent of her injuries is unknown. According to the report she was alert and conscious at the scene.
