The Pennyroyal Arts Council recently shared some exciting news about the 5th Annual Hoptown Holiday Hopfest held in November at the Alhambra Theatre. Pennyroyal Arts Council board member and past president, Michael Pendleton tells the News Edge the featured entertainment brought in a record-breaking crowd at the event which was held the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

He says the idea behind Hoptown Holiday Hopfest was to create awareness and excitement about the Alhambra Theatre, as well as to get people engaged in the arts community, to showcase artists and to raise funds for projects at the theater.

Pendleton says the event in November was by far the most successful year.

He also notes the event has grown more and more with each annual event and also thanked everyone in the community, as well as sponsorships, for the help and support they’ve given the past five years.
