Crofton Man Charged With Fleeing From Deputies And Possession Of Drugs

A Crofton man was charged after deputies responded to an indecent exposure call on Dawson Springs Road Saturday.

According to a report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to Dawson Springs Road for a male next to a fire, exposing himself and in the area, they found 51-year-old Donovan Stokes.

Stokes fled on foot into the woods when deputies pulled into the driveway leading them down a steep embankment and across a creek.

He was reportedly found later and was still wearing the same clothing. A strong odor of marijuana was coming from him and he admitted to smoking prior to deputies arriving.

After a search of his room deputies found Lortab pills in a cigarette wrapper.

He is charged with first-degree fleeing and evading police, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, violation of Kentucky EPO/DVO, prescription controlled substance not in proper container and public intoxication.
