Hopkinsville Man Charged With Possession Of Meth After Traffic Stop

A Hopkinsville man, who was initially stopped for vehicle registration issues, was also charged with possession of methamphetamine Saturday night.

According to a Christian County Sheriff’s Office report, 43-year-old Ryan Graves was stopped on MJ Boyd Road at Dawson Springs Road because his vehicle’s registration had not been transferred.

During the stop deputies reportedly found that Graves didn’t have insurance on the vehicle.

During a search at the jail, deputies also found methamphetamine in Graves’ pocket.

He is charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first-degree promoting contraband, probation violation, failure to register transfer of a motor vehicle, no registration plates and failure to maintain required insurance.
