Two separate wrecks blocked the intersection of Lafayette Road and Country Club Lane Wednesday afternoon after police say both wrecks were caused when vehicles failed to stop in time and struck the vehicle in front of them.
According to Hopkinsville Police, 28-year-old Courtney Hale of Hopkinsville was stopped on Lafayette Road to make a turn when 24-year-old Keegan Powell failed to stop in time and hit the back of her SUV.
Courtney Hale had injuries to her face and was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center by private vehicle after arriving at the hospital her two children Chesney Hale and Bristol Hale also complained of head pain.
In a separate wreck, Avery Daniel was eastbound on Country Club Lane when she could not stop in time and hit the back of a vehicle driven by Stephen Haubrich. Both drivers complained of pain but refused an ambulance, according to the report.
