A blown electrical transformer created a temporary lockdown at the Millbrooke Elementary School Wednesday afternoon.
According to a post on social media by Millbrooke Elementary School, Hopkinsville Police and other emergency officials were dispatched to Millbrooke Elementary Wednesday after one of the teachers at the school heard the explosion. The school was placed under high alert and went under an instructional lock down. The Hopkinsville Police Department reportedly swept the neighborhood and informed the school about the blown transformer. Activities at the school returned to normal and students were dismissed as usual.
