Junior Fire Fighter Class Coming To Trigg County

There is a need for volunteer firefighters across the United States and the Trigg County Junior Fire Fighter Academy is looking to train youth to become the next generation of first responders.

Retired Fort Campbell Assistant Fire Chief Pat Crane tells the News Edge there are a large number of volunteer firefighters in America.

Crane says the class will teach a lot of important information.

He adds the class will be open to most Trigg County students who are enrolled in a public, private or home school and have at least the equivalent of a “C” average in all courses of study.

Anyone wanting more information on the class can call Crane at (270) 312-5129.The classes will take place at the Way Christian Youth Center located at 197 Lafayette Street in Cadiz. The first class will take place Wednesday afternoon, January 23 from 3:15 to 5:00 and will be held each 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month, unless Trigg County Public Schools are out of class that day.
