Two people were injured in a hit and run collision in Todd County Wednesday afternoon.
The Todd County Sheriffs Office reports the collision occurred at the US 68 and Tress Shop Road intersection. Upon investigation, officers determined a silver flatbed truck pulling a cattle trailer was northbound on Tress Shop Road and pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by 26-year old Brandon Berry of Elkton who was traveling east on US 68. Berry’s vehicle was unable to avoid the truck and struck the cattle trailer on the left side. The truck did not stop and witnesses stated it left the scene heading west on US 68.
Berry was uninjured but his two passengers 23-year old Brittany King and 6-year old Michael Berry both of Elkton were transported by Todd County EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Anyone with information about the driver of the truck and trailer should call Todd County Dispatch at (270) 265-2501.
