Pollard was sworn in by Cadiz Mayor Todd King and will start working in the district on Wednesday. As we have previously reported, the Trigg County Board of Education voted during the July 26 meeting to allow the district to get an additional school resource officer. A recommendation for the second resource officer came from the School Safety Taskforce which was formed earlier in the year to discuss how to make the campus safer and more secure for students and staff following a shooting that killed two students at Marshall County High School in late January.
