Authorities in McCracken County say they have found a missing Princeton man in Louisiana.

According to West Kentucky Star, the Paducah Police Department says that they were notified by law enforcement in Louisiana that 75-year-old James E. Mason had been located just outside Baton Rouge just before six Wednesday evening.

Police indicated that Mason was last seen Tuesday afternoon at Baptist Health Paducah. Detectives say that he was seen in Mayfield, Huntingdon, TN, and Batesville, MS throughout the day on Wednesday. Employees at the three locations where he stopped said he appeared to be confused, providing an incorrect age, and asking for directions to his home in Princeton.

When Mason left Batesville he was reportedly traveling toward I-55, which runs from near New Orleans to Chicago. Law enforcement found Mason a short time after he left Batesville.

Paducah Police say that arrangements are being made to bring Mason back to Western Kentucky and would like to extend their gratitude to everyone who helped assist on the case.
