Federal Agencies To Be Closed Wednesday

As the nation mourns the death of President George H. W. Bush Wednesday, federal agencies and parts of Fort Campbell will be closed.

Fox Business reports that President Donald Trump has declared the day a national day of mourning for the late President who passed away Friday night. The New York Stock Exchange, NASDAQ, all federal offices, and the U.S. Postal Service will all be closed.

Some Fort Campbell personnel will not have to work Wednesday. According to officials, non-mission essential personnel should not report for duty and non-mission essential activities will be impacted. Officials add mission-essential personnel will report to work and mission-essential activities will take place. They advise to contact any offices or organizations you were planning to visit on Wednesday to see if they will be open or closed.

According to the White House website, the American flag will be displayed at half-staff at the White House and on all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government throughout the United States for a period of 30 days from the day of his death.
