Patti’s 1880s Settlement Featured On ABC Monday

A popular tourist attraction and restaurant in western Kentucky will gain national attention when it’s featured in a program on a major television network Monday night.

Patti’s 1880s Settlement will be featured as a competitor on ABC’s ‘The Great Christmas Light Flight” program at 7:00. Director of Public Relations and Marketing Ann Martin told the West Kentucky Star the episode was actually filmed last November under tight secrecy and took several days to shoot. Martin said that if they win the $50,000 prize, Patti’s plans to put the money back into their Christmas display.

While it’s great to be featured on a national television show and have a chance at the prize money, Martin said it’s bittersweet because the new Patti’s restaurant is not yet finished. She noted it will probably not reopen until May or June of next year.

As previously reported by the News Edge, Patti’s 1880s Settlement Restaurant was ravaged by fire the morning of February 3 and is in the process of rebuilding. The restaurant is one of the main tourist attractions in Grand Rivers and is located at 1793 J H O’Bryan Avenue.
