Hospital Board Considers Renting Save On Drugs Building

Trigg County Hospital board members discussed the possibility of renting the former pharmacy building the hospital owns and heard the latest financial report during Thursday evening’s meeting.

CEO John Sumner says he recently received a letter expressing interest in renting the Save On Drugs Pharmacy building for the next year.

Hiter would use the building to house his business, Champions Taekwondo Center.

Sumner adds they have been trying to sell the building, but have not received any notable offers for it.

Board members approved to allow the building to be rented, but brought up they may have to advertise that the building will be going up for rent before they can allow Hiter to rent the building.

CFO Don Michaels told board members last months revenue and expenses were up slightly from October 2017.

Board members learned that EMS Director Matt Oliver recently resigned from his position. Sumner says the job will be posted and filled soon.

Sumner adds that Michael Rust, President/CEO of the Kentucky Hospital Association will be stepping down from the position at the end of 2019.
