Members of the Cadiz-Trigg County Economic Development Commission heard updates on the Vertical Hemp Company during their meeting Thursday morning.
Commission Executive Director Sharon Butts says Vertical received over 200 applications for employment since they announced the opening of the Cadiz facility.
In other business, Butts told commission members the recent Trigg County Youth Leadership Day event went very well.
According to Butts, the recent Engineering Day at Trigg County High School was also a success.
South West Kentucky EDC Executive Director Mark Lindsey showed commission members a new video that was made to showcase two pad-ready sites in the region.
Christian and Trigg County both have a pad-ready site, the sites are ready for industry to move onto.
