A Todd County woman recently won thousands and thousands of dollars after scratching off a $5 Giant Jumbo Bucks scratch-off ticket.

According to Kentucky Lottery officials, Lynn Bostic of Guthrie revealed the “star” symbol, winning $50,000. The instructions on the ticket say when scratching off the “star” symbol, players win the prize automatically. In Bostic’s case, it was the game’s top prize.

After taxes, officials say Bostic received $35,500. She told lottery officials the three things she’s going to spend her winnings on — a headstone for her daughter’s grave, a mother’s ring, and an old Nintendo game system. Bostic also said she may look for a new place to live and plans to help her family.

Bostic purchased the winning ticket at Favourite Lotto in Guthrie. For selling the winning ticket, the store will receive $500.
