KSP Conducting Death Investigation in Trigg County

Kentucky State Police are conducting a death investigation after a body was found in an area on Buffalo Road Wednesday afternoon.

Late Wednesday night, Trigg County Coroner John Mark Vinson confirmed the death investigation is associated with a body found in a location on Buffalo Road. He tells the News Edge an autopsy is scheduled Thursday morning at the Western Kentucky Medical Examiner’s Office in Madisonville. He notes KSP will release the name of the individuals and other information surrounding the circumstances of the investigation. At this time, KSP has not released any details about the investigation.

According to emergency traffic, the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched around noon Wednesday to an area off of Buffalo Road where a body was reportedly found. Upon arrival, deputies called KSP to the scene to investigate the death. The Trigg County Coroner’s Office was also called to the scene. It is unknown at this time whether foul play is suspected.
