Christmas And Parade Celebration In Elkton December 8

Children and adults are invited to come out and celebrate a down-home Christmas in Elkton on Saturday, December 8th.

Welcome Center Director Charlotte Myers tells the News Edge the day will consist of shopping and the parade.

The Grand Marshal of the Elkton Christmas parade will be Harold Ross, a former Unversity of Kentucky graduate, a member of the 1958 NCAA Championship Basketball Team, and teacher in Todd County.

The Christmas parade will begin at 6:00, leaving Todd County Central High School on South Main Street and continue north toward the Public Square to West Main Street and ending at the Milliken Memorial Community House. Myers says the parade will feature lighted floats and entries from local businesses, schools, and churches. She notes traffic will be blocked to Public Square beginning around 5:30 p.m. until all festivities are over.
