A Crofton woman was arrested following an incident with her roommate Friday morning.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reports they were called out to a residence on Dripping Springs Road for a possible burglary in progress. When officers arrived, 57-year old Jennifer Barnett reportedly said her roommate was trying to break into her room. Barnett was given legal advice but stated that she was going to stab him if he continued.

Officers were called out to the same address a short time later to a possible stabbing. Barnett allegedly stabbed her roommate when she entered his room to get her TV and was armed with a knife. Barnett and the roommate then got into a verbal altercation which turned physical and the roommate sustained a cut on his left arm below his elbow.

Barnett was lodged in the Christian County Jail on a 2nd-degree assault charge.
