This week is National Apprenticeship Week and Kentucky is celebrating by working to make more apprenticeship opportunities available.
Secretary of Education and Workforce Development Derrick Ramsey says apprenticeships are an important step in numerous careers.
According to Ramsey, the program has expanded since mid-2016.
Ramsey adds any businesses interested in participating in the apprenticeship program can contact the Kentucky Labor Cabinet.
