A Herndon man is facing multiple charges after he reportedly led deputies on a chase in a dump truck in McCracken County over the weekend.

According to WPSD-TV, McCracken County deputies received a call about a reckless driver in a red International dump truck, which was found at a gas station on Alben Barkley Drive. Deputies were speaking to the driver, 42-year old Richard Hack when another person approached and asked for directions. That’s when Hack reportedly drove away in the dump truck and fled from deputies until his dump truck got stuck in a yard on Colonial Drive. Hack then jumped out of the truck and ran on foot but was quickly apprehended.

WPSD says deputies discovered hack had a warrant for his arrest out of Illinois.

Hack was lodged in the McCracken County Jail charged with first degree fleeing or evading police in a motor vehicle, resisting arrest, third-degree assault of a police officer and other offenses.
