Police say a call to a home on Bark Ridge Circle led to the arrest of a Hopkinsville man on drug possession and fleeing charges.
According to the Hopkinsville Police report, officers responded to a home in the 1100 block and found 46-year old Joseph Stewart heavily under the influence. When police tried to detain Stewart, he ran a short distance in the yard but was quickly apprehended. During a search of Stewart, officers found a plastic baggie containing suspected methamphetamine, a pill classified as a Schedule III drug, and a glass pipe.
Stewart was lodged in the Christian County Jail charged with possession of meth, an unspecified drug, and drug paraphernalia as well as fleeing from police on foot.
