A 65-year old woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Clarksville Wednesday night.

Clarksville Police Department Public Information Officer Jim Knoll says the man was driving a pickup truck and was stopped for a red light in the southbound lane of US-79-N near Cracker Barrel when, for an unknown reason, a 65-year old woman crashed her car into the rear end of the truck. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Knoll says there are no indications that she was wearing a seatbelt.

The driver of the truck was checked at the scene by medical personnel and released.

Police are continuing to investigate the fatal crash.
