Service to the community was the focus of awards presented during the 2018 Trigg County Ham Festival Kickoff Breakfast.
Cadiz City Clerk Brian Ahart presented The George Bleidt/Marvin Broadbent Spirit of the Ham Festival Award to Ham Festival Committee Chairman Thelma Fowler.
WKDZ-WHVO News Director Alan Watts presented two Farmers of the Year Awards to Bill Mize and William Lawrence. Watts said Mizes service to agriculture involved Trigg County 4th grade students.
Watts said William Lawrence service involved his fellow farmers.
And Stephanie Perry presented the Farm Mom of the Year Award to Ruth Bridges.

More than 250 people were on hand at the Trigg County Recreation Complex Thursday morning. The featured speaker for the breakfast was Governor’s Office of Ag Policy Director Warren Beeler.
