Cadiz Historians Write A Book About Well-Known Photographer

Kim Fortner and Paul Fourshee – Authors of ‘Mrs. Randolph A Small Town Portrait’

Two Cadiz historians have written a book on a well-known photographer who began her career in the late 19th century in Trigg County. Mamie Randolph began taking photos in downtown Cadiz in 1893 but moved in 1914 to Sheridan, Indiana to continue her business.

Kim Fortner says she did a lot of research for this book.

Paul Fourshee adds Randolph was a successful businesswoman in a man’s world.

According to Fortner, they will host two book signings later this month.

The book can be purchased by visiting mamierandolph.com.
