There have been some changes in the railroad crossing closures in Hopkinsville.
Dave Herndon, Hopkinsville Public Works Street Superintendent, says CSX has elected to leave the crossing at East 7th Street open. They now say they will close the East 2nd Street, East 4th Street, and East 6th Street crossings to repair and improve the crossings. However, the crossing at East 7th Street may be closed overnight Wednesday.
Herndon says as construction progresses, closures may change but they will attempt to provide the most up-to-date information. Motorists should observe marked detours and closures.
