Request For Ag Expo Center Approved By Magistrates

After action by Christian County Fiscal Court magistrates Tuesday morning, construction is set to begin late this fall on the nearly $2 million Christian County Agriculture Exposition Center on Pembroke Road.

The money for the future construction of the ag facility was set aside by the County and the City of Hopkinsville in February. Christian County Extension Service Agent for Agriculture Jay Stone appeared before magistrates to request the funds and that they are allowed to be the agent to maintain the project. Stone says they plan on using the facility for various ag-related and possibly other events.
