A Tennessee man was flown to a Nashville hospital after he crashed his tractor-trailer on Interstate 24 in Christian County Sunday night.
57-year old Rodney Jones of Hermitage was traveling eastbound in the left lane when, for an unknown reason, deputies say his semi pulling two trailers crashed into the barrier cables near the 84-mile marker, causing the tractor-trailer to roll onto the driverside and continue to slide for several feet. Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say Jones was helped out of the semi by passing motorists before they arrived at the scene.
Jones was flown by helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville for treatment.
