Kentucky Transportation Cabinet spokesman Keith Todd tells the News Edge that Rogers Group, the prime contractor on the $25.5 million four-lane project, will remove temporary barriers and allow two lanes of traffic each way around noon Friday.

Todd adds drivers really need to be cautious when crossing over all lanes of the highway beginning Friday.

Todd says drivers may find difficulty adjusting to the new roadway.

According to Todd, progress is continuing to be made on the rest of the four-lane project west of Cadiz.

Todd hopes the project will be completed within the next year or two. When this project is completed, it will make Highway 68/80 four-lanes from Murray to Hopkinsville.
