A man arrested on a warrant is facing additional charges after he was reportedly found in possession of narcotics and synthetic marijuana.
Hopkinsville Police arrested 31-year old Shane Gilkey on a warrant for theft by unlawful taking shortly after 2:00 Tuesday afternoon at West 15th Street and the Rails Trails. During a search, officers say they found a cough drop container with a baggy containing eleven dosage units of a Schedule 4 controlled substance, as well as a bag of synthetic marijuana on the seat under Gilkey’s leg.
Gilkey was booked into the Christian County Jail charged with Possession of Synthetic Drugs and 3rd Degree Possession of Controlled Substance – Drug Unspecified.
