The Kid’s First Dental Program is making its way back to Trigg County Public Schools during the third week of October.

According to Horizon Youth Service Center Director Laura Shelton, the dental program is a mobile unit that will be on the school campus. The services will be available to every child whether they have private dental insurance, KCHIP, Medicaid, or even no coverage at all. Private insurance and Medicaid will be billed, and there will be no out of pocket expenses for parents.

Services include an exam, x-rays, cleaning, sealants, and varnish. Kid’s First will also offer comprehensive services if the parent chooses to do so.

The mobile dental unit will be at the school system beginning Monday, October 15th and will remain on campus for at least three weeks. Only students will parent permission forms signed will be able to participate, however, it’s never too late to sign up. Parents can pick up a form in the front offices of the schools or elementary school parents can call Ashley Hunter at (270) 522-2724 or middle and high school parents can call Shelton at (270) 522-2723.
