Wisconsin Woman Hurt in Christian County I-24 Crash

accident-2-2

Authorities say wet road conditions and speed led to a single-vehicle wreck on Interstate 24 in Christian County Monday morning that injured one person. The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reports the accident occurred just after 1:45 a.m. at the 79-mile marker about two miles east of the Pennyrile Parkway Exit 81.

Deputies say 43-year old Melissa Harden-Ladd, of Beloit, Wisconsin was driving east when her car hydroplaned, which caused her car to spin counterclockwise, cross the left lane and shoulder and crash into a guardrail head-on.

According to the report, Harden-Ladd was transported by ambulance to Tennova Medical Center in Clarksville for treatment of injuries. Her passenger, 47-year old Bonniel Ladd, also of Beloit, Wisconsin was uninjured in the wreck.
