Man Arrested For DUI After I-24 Wreck in Christian County

A Florida man involved in a non-injury wreck on Interstate 24 in Christian County was arrested for DUI Thursday afternoon.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office says the wreck occurred shortly after 4:00 p.m. in the eastbound lane at the 87-mile marker between the Hopkinsville-Fort Campbell and Pembroke-Oak Grove exits when 36-year old Jacob Tillman was traveling at a high rate of speed and rear-ended another vehicle. Tillman was taken into custody after deputies reportedly found two small bags of residue, a spoon and several needles in the vehicle. Deputies say a preliminary breath test also showed Tillman had been drinking alcoholic beverages.

Tillman was booked into the Christian County Jail charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs under aggravating circumstances, Reckless Driving, and other offenses.
