Todd County Middle School was placed in lockdown Thursday morning after school officials say an adult with a firearm was spotted in a field beside the school.
The Todd County School District posted on social media the head custodian at the middle school saw the adult and administration immediately placed the school in lockdown. Officials say the School Resource Officer Tracy Mayberry was in the building and the Todd County Sheriff’s Department and Elkton City Police responded to the school to assist. Upon evaluation, no threat was found.
